My most cherished aspect of working in a school is seeing the children enter high school at the age of 11, full of potential, wonder, curiosity and enthusiasm and then five years later, have the unbelievable privilege of seeing them walk across the stage at graduation as confident, passionate, driven and mature young women and men who are prepared to tackle the next phase of their development and spread their wings in post-secondary education.

WIC hosted its annual Grandparents or Special Family Member Day with Secondary 1 students on Thursday, November 2, 2017.  Refreshments were served, family pictures were taken and tours were offered by the students.  It was a memorable morning and all beamed with pride as they enjoyed their time together.  

Students, staff, parents and volunteers stepped out of their classrooms on Tuesday, October 17, 2017, to raise awareness at WIC’s 17th annual 5 kilometer walk to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).
