On Friday, January 19th and Saturday, January 20th, 2018, a select few students, accompanied by Miss Kim Meldrum, experienced the fun in learning and joined a community of leaders and scholars at St. George’s High School.
The school welcomed 245 scholars to Canada’s biggest ever World Scholar’s Cup event. Following the Opening Ceremonies, which included the ceremonial tossing of alpacas into the crowd, teams competed in three events: Collaborative Writing, Team Debate, and Scholar’s Challenge.
Amanda Sultan, Marcus Wilhelm, Ethan Shahin, Michael Baldwin, Nur Yaranri, Avi Assouline, Ryan Steward, Edwin Jazvac, James Gosnell, Leonie Saint Arnaud and Gabrielle Graceffa from WIC represented our school at this event.
They were outstanding team players who supported each other throughout the two days.
All participants earned a spot in the Global competition.
