WIC Outreach Program – May 7 and 15, 2019

On May 7, 2019, Juliana S., a grade 10 WIC outreach student, organized, paid for and attended a field trip to McDonald’s with the students of École John F. Kennedy (Pierrefonds branch)―a school that participates in WIC’s Outreach Program. Most of the students have autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other forms of intellectual disabilities. Joining her on this outing as well was Sierra D. On May 15, WIC Outreach welcomed these same students and their supervisors. As a sign of their gratitude, they presented Juliana with a beautiful thank you card. Our guests and WIC students Juliana S., Nicole T., Jaimie L., and Sierra D., ate lunch and played on the field during senior lunch. A wonderful time was had by all. Many thanks to Mrs. Segal for her outreach efforts and ongoing coordination of these meaningful and invaluable community events.
