Twenty-six secondary 3 to 5 students traveled to the Central American country of Costa Rica from February 28 to March 7, 2019. Travelling to Costa Rica with the school was an experience that the students and accompanying teachers will remember forever. Not only did they leave an impact on the community by supporting their self-sustainable environment and by helping less fortunate children at a daycare, but they also got the opportunity to get out of their comfort zone and push their limits. Ziplining, surfing, white-water rafting, hiking and even salsa lessons were some of the amazing activities they enjoyed while visiting this beautiful country. They also learned the importance of supporting local ranches and businesses as well as their efficient lifestyle of composting, recycling and not wasting anything. Everyone came back home with many memories and laughs, not to mention new friendships with people they would have never expected. Thank you to Mrs. Johnson, Mr. Abravanel and M. Paradis for accompanying the students on this trip.
