West Island College, a not-for-profit school, formed the West Island College Foundation (WICF) in 2011 to foster a culture of engagement from the WIC Community – parents, grandparents, alumni, faculty and friends – that would lead to financial support through an Annual Giving Campaign, endowment funds and other fundraising initiatives that could support capital projects, Headmaster’s initiatives, scholarships and bursaries.
The Martin Bailly Bursary Fund which began in 2013 will help aspiring students who need some level of financial assistance. They could be new or existing WIC students who would sincerely benefit from your help.
The Founder’s Scholarship Fund is a merit-based scholarship initiative. It is in recognition of the school’s Founder, Terry Davies, for his vision of linguistic, academic, social, cultural and athletic excellence. This was his wish for every West Island College student. The scholarship funds can be used for partial or fully-supported tuition. Scholarships can be renewable, provided the recipient’s academic work and contribution to the school remains at a high standard. The funds are not based on financial need, but on academic excellence.
The WIC Legacy Program is a tile program available to all who wish to support the school. Located on all levels of the WIC Arts & Sciences Pavilion, the Solar Hall features 1′ X 2′ engraved slate tiles that you can purchase, prominently displaying dedications to alumni, students, faculty and friends. Proceeds support Headmaster’s initiatives and the school’s greatest needs.
