  1. Welcome & 2021 Year In Review 

  2. Review of financial statements 

  3. Designation of Members to the WIC Foundation Board of Directors 

  4. Motion to enable the Members of the Board of Directors to elect the Officers of the Board for 2022-2023. 

  5. Motion to appoint the auditors for the upcoming year and to authorize the Officers of the Board of Directors to fix their remuneration.

  6. New Business and Motion to adjourn. 

Call for Candidates:

We are currently in the process of accepting applications for two (2) new members of the Board of Directors of the WIC Foundation. Anyone who wishes to be considered for election to the Board is invited to submit their candidacy via e-mail to the nominating committee at [email protected] no later than Wednesday, May 18th, 2022 at 5pm.

All applications should include the following:

  • Full name of the candidate;

  • Short biography (1 paragraph) of the candidate outlining the qualifications that justify the candidate’s application for election.

The process:

Once we have compiled our list of candidates, we will distribute the bios of each of the candidates via e-mail to members for review and consideration. This will be done during the week of May 23rd, 2022.

Each member in good standing shall have one vote to elect a representative to the Board of Directors. This ballot shall be electronic. Any member who has not returned their ballot by that time will be deemed to have given a proxy vote to the President of the Foundation’s Board of Directors. Immediately following the closing date, the ballots will be counted and the successful candidates will be announced at the Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, June 1st, 2022.

The commitment:

Each elected member of the Foundation’s Board of Directors will fulfill a 1-year term, and is expected to attend Board meetings (not usually more than 3 to 4 during the year) and assist in fundraising activities. Board meetings are typically held via Zoom at 7:00 pm. In addition, all Foundation Board members must commit to a minimum financial contribution of $100 during each financial year that they are elected. As volunteers for the West Island College Foundation, Board members must accept an obligation to act in the best interest of the organization and to adhere carefully to its policies, goals, and principles.
