West Island College Foundation Raffle
In support of Scholarships and Financial Aid for West Island College
This contest is open to Canadian residents only and is governed by Canadian law and the laws of the Province of Quebec. Contest details are available on the school’s website at www.wicmtl.ca.
All proceeds from this raffle will benefit the West Island College Foundation Terry Davies Scholarship and Bailly Bursary Fund.
1 Deadlines for Entry: The raffle begins at 8:00 a.m. Eastern Time (ET) Tuesday, April 7th, 2015, and ends at 12:00 p.m. (noon) ET, Tuesday, June 23rd, 2015 (the “Contest Period”).
2 Announcement of Winner: Winner’s names and photos will be published on the School’s website and social media sites. Purchase of a ticket enters you into the contest. There is no limit of the number of tickets purchased per person. By entering this contest, entrants agree to the collection, use and disclosure of personal information by The West Island College Foundation (the Foundation or sponsor) in accordance with the use of personal information detailed in the paragraph below. No acknowledgement of receipt will be sent. Purchase of the raffle ticket constitutes acceptance of these Contest Rules.
3 Who Can Participate: Participants must be 18 years of age or older and be legal residents of Canada. Participants may be required to provide evidence of their identity and eligibility (e.g. address and date of birth). Failure to provide such proof within a reasonable period of time could result in disqualification. All personal and other information requested by and supplied to the Foundation for the purpose of this contest must be truthful, complete, accurate and in no way misleading. The Foundation reserves the right to disqualify any entry or entrant in its sole discretion, should any entry or entrant at any stage supply untruthful, incomplete, inaccurate or misleading personal details and/or information. The following individuals are not eligible to participate in the raffle: employees of the WIC Foundation and their immediate families and individuals serving on the Board of the West Island College Foundation.
4 How Winner[s] Will be Selected: On Tuesday, June 23rd, 2015, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada at approximately 12:00 p.m. (noon) EST (Eastern Standard Time), winners will be selected by random draw from all eligible entries submitted during the Contest Period, the whole under the supervision of the Trustees of West Island College.
5 Time Limit to Claim a Prize: One year from the close of the contest: Thursday, June 23rd. 2016 at noon (12:00 p.m. EST – Eastern Standard Time)
6 How Winner[s] Will be Notified: The Potential Winner will be selected by random draw and notified by e-mail by the Foundation within 10 days after their name has been selected (“Prize Notification”). The Foundation reserves the right to select an alternate Potential Winner by random draw, for a prize that has been forfeited or that remains unclaimed past the set time limit the winner was allocated. The Potential Winner must sign a release form, the Winner will be required to confirm the following:
Any claim for a Prize made out of time will be, ipso facto, null and void. The Foundation is not responsible for the failure, for any reason, of a Potential Winner to receive Prize Notification or for Foundation’s failure to receive the response of a Potential Winner. If all required conditions are met and each Potential Winner has complied with all Contest Rules, each Potential Winner will be declared a winner (“Winner”) of the Prize. The Foundation will deliver the prize in person at the School’s premises to the Winner.
7 What are the Odds: Odds of winning a prize will depend on the total number of sold ticket stubs received during the Contest Period, as all valid entries will be placed in the selection receptacle.

9 Limitation of Liability: All entries/prize claims become the property of the Foundation, and the Foundation assumes no responsibility for lost, stolen, delayed, damaged or misdirected entries/prize claims or for any failure of the website during the Contest Period, for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received by the Foundation on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from playing or downloading any material in the promotion. Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or to undermine the legitimate operation of this promotion is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should such an attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution. Entries are subject to verification and will be declared invalid if they are illegible, mechanically reproduced, mutilated, forged, falsified, altered or tampered with in any way.
10 Use of Personal Information: By entering the contest, an Entrant agrees: to the collection, use and disclosure by the Foundation of the Entrant’s personal information for the purposes of administering the contest and awarding the Prize, if any, including but not limited to releasing the name of a Winner to those who request such information in accordance with the section entitled “Contest Winner List” below
